🌟🌟Term 1 Kicks off from Sunday the 31st January
🤸♂ If you are coming into the gym please sign in with the QR code posters on the door, foyer or fences. (yes you can still sign in manually too)
🤸♂ Aim to arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of class.
🤸♂ Participants need to bring a big drink bottle.
🤸♂ What should the kids wear? A singlet, t-shirt and shorts or bike pants or Leotards and bummers. Please no jeans, skirts, clothes with buckles or zippers or jewellery.
🤸♂ Our Parent viewing areas do have limitations on numbers as indicated by the signs in each area.
🤸♂ We understand it may be difficult as little ones especially settle in to classes but please try to avoid talking with your child from over the fence.
🤸♂ Joining one of our mini movers classes? It is super important you stay with your child and help them through the circuits.
🤸♂ If you are bringing other children with you please ensure that they are with you in the viewing area.
🤸♂ Please help kids to cross the road – escort them to and pick them up from the ramp or in the gym.
🤸♂ Make sure fees are up to date well before your class as overdue fees will mean a hold on participation.
🤸♂ All class enrolments need to pre-confirmed through our Parent Portal. Please check your enrolments in the Portal for class times. We do not offer “drop in” or “casual” attendance classes.

Lots of questions on Enrolments this week so here is a quick summary for our Gym Families.
Class enrolments and management of your classes is all done through our Parent Portal.
It is important you are familiar with the Parent Portal as this is the place where you can also log absences and gain makeup tokens if you are away. Here is the link: https://app.iclasspro.com/portal/northwestgymnastics
When you enrol or ask to enrol in a class you take a place in that class. Enrolments continue across terms until you request to drop an enrolment or transfer to another class.
Unlike many clubs, we offer parents the flexibility of being able to drop a class with 2 weeks notice at anytime.
If you are looking for another class time it is best to waitlist in that class and then we’ll come back to you when an opening comes up and can arrange the transfer for you.
Billing for classes comes due in advance on the 15th of the month prior. Fees need to be up to date to secure your place. Statements are emailed out weekly so ensure we are on your safe senders list.

We are looking for coaches to join our North West Gymnastics team.
Do you love working with kids, appreciate the benefits that physical activity provides in development? Perhaps you are a current or x-gymnast looking to share your love of the sport!
We are seeking coaches for a range of programs including, Under 5’s, Ninja, and recreational gymnastics.
Experience working with kids or in gymnastics is preferred but not essential.
Training is provided through the Gymnastics Australia coach development pathways.

With recent QLD government announcements NWG will be implementing QR code sign in for Parents in 2021.
All Parents and Non-Participants in the Gym will need to scan in using the QR Code Signs placed around the gym.
Gymnasts or participants who are on our class rolls will not be required to scan in.
We ask our gym families to please respect this rule and if coming into the gym using the QR codes to scan in using your mobile phone.

Term 4 is just around the corner! With classes running from Tuesday the 6th October to Sunday the 6th December 2020.
Existing members will automatically roll over into Term 4 classes.
New members wishing to join our programs can sign up or wait list via our Parent Portal. You can choose to commence in Term 3 or Term 4 Sessions when enrolling.
Now is a great time to wait list even if classes are full as there are often kids changing classes between terms.

To assist our first week of classes to go smoothly we created some checklists to help you get ready for Gym.
👶 Baby Gym (Commences Tuesday 14th July)
👧 Mini Movers (Commences Saturday 11th July)
👦 Early Learners (Commences Saturday 11th July)
🤸♂️ General (Girls Beginners, Foundations, Intermediate, Competitive Levels, Ninja, TNT, Acro Foundations, Intermediate Acro, Aerials and Tumbling) (Commence Saturday 11th July)
Make sure you have accepted the Club Policies in the Parent Portal and ensure all fees are current. This is necessary for participation to be granted, avoid delays at check in.
Remember late arrivals may not be permitted to participate.

Hi gym families, as you know we’ve moved to our new Parent Portal for enrolments and payments.

This system we have selected is used world wide and one of the main reasons we selected it is the security it offers our parents. If you enter your payment details be assured we cannot see them. The company managing these is called “Payrix Australia Pty Ltd”. They have an Australian Financial Services Licence and also hold Level 1 PCI-DSS Compliance.
Running the gym takes a massive amount of admin. Fielding emails, messages, texts, enrolments and the general day to day through to each night reconciling payments and the like. We have some amazing helpers in this space who make it all work but it is a full time role on top of running classes.
There are times in our weekly schedule which you will note we don’t run classes simply to make sure we can be on top of the admin – and we are always behind!
Unfortunately for members this means -> time doing admin = less time running classes = higher overheads = higher fees. This system will also help cut the bad debts and those who try to exploit the system which again is a benefit to all our reliable gym families.
We’ve invested heavily in this system such that parents can gain improved flexibility for makeups, enrolments and we benefit by cutting admin time and increasing class and class planning times.
We can’t encourage you enough to jump on board with this system so we can spend more time focussed on gymnastics, lesson planning, quality and classes.
We encourage our families to elect the “echeck” option as this means no fees for you. You can select this at checkout or on a computer in your account. Families can choose credit card however this does come will fees pending the card.
For those families wanting to do direct deposit or cash payments we are sorry but you are defeating one of the key aims of the system and while this can be done (as we know each circumstance is different) each transaction will be charged an additional nominal fee (discussed on request) as it costs us additional time manually reconciling fees and recording payments that we are now paying for a system to do.
We encourage you to get on board with it. Avoiding it will mean that you will miss the option for a number or benefits including monthly fees, class makeup requests, makeup tokens, class swaps and changes, competition registration, holiday programs and the like.
We have plans to grow this system to replace our online store, uniform orders and competition nominations and events in the very near future.
