North West Gymnastics is excited to be providing the venue for NWG Mount Isa Inc. and Brisbane's Flipside Circus to run affordable Community Circus Workshops this coming weekend.

Roll Up for amazing, action-packed workshops with the famous Flipside Circus!
Whether it's tackling the trapeze or harnessing the hula-hoop, your kids and you will have a blast at Flipside Circus workshops.

No circus or gymnastics experience necessary. These workshops are open to the whole community. There is something for everyone.

@flipsidecircus are currently on their 2025 Regional Tour and will be stopping in Mount Isa on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May at North West Gymnastics. It couldn't be done without the support of Mount Isa City Council and the RADF grant that NWG Mount Isa Inc have received.

These workshops are open to the whole community with bookings to be made via the North West Gymnastics Customer Portal

Saturday Workshops
12:15 - 1:00pm Kinder Circus $10 per child aged 2-5 years with a caregiver
1:15 - 2:15pm Primary Circus $10 per child aged 6-12yrs
2:45 - 4:15pm Primary Aerials $15 per child aged 6-12yrs

Sunday Workshops
10:00 - 12:00pm Adults Aerials and Acro $20 per adult 17yrs and older
12:45 - 2:45pm Teen Aerials, Acro and Mini Tramp $20 per Teen aged 12 - 17yrs

Places are strictly limited, bookings will close 2 hours prior to workshops commencing.

This Tour is supported by Mount Isa City Council through RADF grant funding and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland's Touring Queensland Fund and the Tim Fairfax Family Foundations.

2025 Term 1 Enrolments are now open and live in the parent portal.

Our classes will show either the places "Left" or "Waitlist"

Please don't let "waitlist" deter you. You can still request the class. We hope to increase class numbers based on demand once our staff availability and roster is confirmed in the coming week.

If you aren't sure what class is suitable, please reach out via email or messenger and our admin team will be in contact.

For those that accepted class place offers for expressions of interest please check your emails for "Active" enrolment confirmation emails and check that the enrolments are showing under your students.

Tuition has been added to your accounts with payments due by 21st January. You will need to jump on your parent portal account and do the following

Update all contact details
Accept Policies
Save a payment method for direct debiting tuition monthly
Update your children's details including school they are attending this year and emergency contact details

Redeeming Vouchers with NWG
1. Download a PDF of your FairPlay voucher
2. Email PDF voucher to info@northwestgymnastics.com.au
3. Our club submits them for redemption. It can take between 3-10 working days to be processed and funds disbursed to the club
4. When the club receives the funds they are added to your account as a voucher credit that is then applied to Tuition and Membership fees for the Child on the voucher.

Well, that's a wrap for Term 3 classes.

There is no Friday afternoon classes scheduled today.

Thank you to the coaches, parents and kids for a wonderful term. We will be back in Term 4 from Monday 30th September.

Miss Bindi and Miss Kylie have been hard at work behind the scenes with lots of emails and messages sent out over the last 2 week about changes for Term 4. Please check your emails to see if there are any changes that will affect you and reply promptly.

Stay tuned for School Holiday classes running from Saturday 21st September.

Mahli held her own today at the NQ RegionalChampionships. Competing level 3, she showed us that she could remain composed and consistent.

She did really well placing 8th overall in Level 3 under 10. A great effort at her first Regional Championships.

To all our Gym families this is a friendly reminder that many classes not running between Thursday 25th July and Monday 29th July.

We have quite a few coaches away. Miss Kylie and Coach Richard are heading off to the North Queensland Regional Gymnastics Championships.

Miss Bindi will be sending out reminder text messages to all families affected by the gym closures.

Under 5 classes will still be going ahead with Miss Lisa and Miss Joce.

Your Welcome to Term 3 emails advised the days and classes not running during this period, no makeup tokens or credits will be given for the classes as they were not included in July Tuition charges.

🤸Handstands and Cartwheels Workshop 5-14yrs 9:30 - 10:30am🤸

Join us for 60 minutes of targeted drills and activities to improve Handstands and Cartwheels in our downstairs gym

This workshop is suitable for school age children who want to improve their skills. Coaches will work with the children advancing through the drills for beginners just learning right through to drills for those that want to be able to Cartwheel with 1 hand or learn to Handstand or Cartwheel on a beam.

Places strictly limited to 15 participants. $18 if you book online, $20 on the day

🤹Flips n Tricks Fun 6-14yrs 10:45 - 12:00pm🤸

A bit of holiday fun to keep the kids active. The class is packed with loads of fun including:

Ninja, Precision Jumping, Obstacle Courses, Rock Climbing, Rope Swings and, Trampoline, Funky Monkey Bars!

Held in our upstairs gym these classes are guided by coaches. It's like a big birthday party of non-stop Jumping, rolling, climbing, balancing and supervised risky play.

Drop the kids off and head out to get some errands done.

Places strictly limited to 15 participants. $20 if you book online, $25 on the day

🐵Jungle Gym will also be running for your littlest people suitable for ages 1-5yrs with parent participation required in the class. $13 if you book online, $15 on the day

* Please note that sessions could be cancelled if enrolments are low. You will be contacted via text message at least 1 hour prior to the class if we need to cancel

** payments for all "Workshops" are required upfront on booking, payments for "Holiday Fun" classes can be made on the day or will be direct debited from you nominated payment method after the class.

Saturday 15th June we saw 3 awesome groups of girl

Saturday 15th June we saw 3 awesome groups of girls compete in our first in-house competition for 2024.

Girls Pre-Level 3 and Level 3 Girls kicked the day off at 10am. Thank you to Miss Jemima for judging for the day. We saw some personal bests on the day. For many it was their first ever competition and they overcame their nerves to show off all their hard work learning routines this Term.

So Proud of the Girls Beginners who got to experience their first competition ever. It was a long session compared to their normal 50minute weekly class. Big smiles on both the Girls and parents faces throughout the day. Thank you Miss Rachael for popping in and volunteering to judge for the day. The kids loved seeing you back in the gym.

Girls Foundations finished off the day. We saw some amazing skill execution. We are so proud of the girls that faced their fears.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it an amazing day especially the team of coaches: Coach Richard, Miss Jasi, Miss Josie, Miss Madi, Miss Jemima, Miss Joce

Thank you everyone for a great Term of Gymnastics

Thank you everyone for a great Term of Gymnastics classes.

Your kids may be tired and cranky and pushing your buttons but let them know that the last week of classes brings a lot of fun and games with the TumbleTrak coming out and fun circuits planned by the coaches.

Term 2 classes conclude Thursday 20th June.

Miss Kylie and Miss Bindi are working behind the scenes to get everything ready for Term 3. Planning holiday classes and programs. Keep an eye out for workshops, "Jungle Gym" open play and holiday class options

We appreciate your understanding and patience when we have had to cancel classes this term due to coach injury and illnesses.

Shout out to the Girls and their families that travelled away to Townsville for Competition. We are super proud of your personal best performances and results and the way you represented the club. Thank you to all who purchased tickets in the fundraising money boards to assist the girls with costs associated with travelling away for comp.

We hosted our first Fun Comp for 2024 and loved seeing so many kids overcome their nerves and put on a wonderful display of all their routines.

Adults Gym classes kicked off and it has been wonderful to see so many adults stepping out of their comfort zone to return to gymnastics or even start gymnastics for the first time.

"Jungle Gym" made a return to Monday and Friday mornings, and it has been wonderful to see families returning for open play sessions

It has been amazing to see the dedication of families travelling from Cloncurry and Camooweal to attend weekend classes.

We have also said goodbye to families that are moving away and wish them all the best and hope that they will continue with gymnastics once they are settled in their new homes.

Enjoy the school holidays everyone. Travel Safe if you are lucky enough to be heading off on a break, out of town.

We can't wait to see you all back in the gym for Term 3 classes from Monday 8th July
