Miss Kylie, Miss Lisa and Miss Joce are excited to let you know that NWG Mini Movers " Jungle Gym" classes start back in May.

We haven't offered open play classes since 2019.

"Jungle Gym" is like mini movers but is more Child Led Open play with parents. Coaches will be on hand to guide you and your child but it is about exploring the gym and having fun.

There is also the option to attend Weekly or on a Casual basis. Yay come along with your little one on your RDO and check it out

Classes are for children walking - 4 years old

10:30 - 11:15am Mondays and Fridays

How it all works

* Weekly attendance on Monday or Friday $16 per class billed monthly just like all our other classes.

* Casual Option - 5 class family pass $85 per pass valid for 6 months : book in anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 hours prior to the class. Passes are purchased from the "Club Shop" in the parent portal

* Rock up on the Day - Single class payment on the day $18 per class. See a staff member on arrival so they can add you to the class

We hope that everyone enjoys their long weekend. Our coaches are certainly going to enjoy a rare day off to spend with family.

If you are getting away for the long weekend and will miss your regular weekend class be sure to log your class absence via the parent portal today to be eligible to receive a makeup token.

A Parent Information Session has been arranged for

A Parent Information Session has been arranged for families with Girls Enrolled in WAG Pre- Level 3, and Level 3-6 gymnastics classes.

Date: Wednesday 1st May
Time: 7:00 - 7:30pm

This session will cover information for the up and coming away Competition in Townsville on 8-9th June.

The session is open to those who have nominated or are yet to nominate to attend.

Flips n Tricks
It's perfect for kids that want to have fun and learn how to handstand, cartwheel, tumble, work in teams and develop safe execution of trampoline skills. No experience necessary for ages 7 - 14.

Classes run on Mondays 5:15pm and Thursdays 5:30pm

Ninja
Let them climb our walls, not yours. Vault over our boxes and not your couch. We have Ninja Prep classes for kids aged 4.5 - 6yrs (Kindy, Prep, Grade 1) and Foundations classes for kids aged 6-9yrs (grade 1-4)

Ninja Prep Classes run on Mondays 4:00pm, Saturdays 9:30am and 10:30am
Ninja Foundations Classes run on Fridays 5:30pm and Saturdays 11:30am

Girls Gymnastics
Everyone starts from Beginners - no experience necessary. We teach the basics of Handstand, rolls, jumping, swinging and balance. Helping girls to find their confidence, gently encouraging them to push past their fears and try new skills. Suitable for girls aged 5 - 8yrs

Girls Beginners classes run on Wednesdays 4:15pm, Fridays 4:20pm and Saturdays 9:30am

2024 Term 2 sees the return of Adult's Gym with Miss Key and Miss Kylie on Tuesday 16th April.

No experience needed just come along to see what it's all about. There are 3 options to enrol:

1. Trial Class - Single Day - message or email us
2. Casual Attendance - 5 class pass valid for 6 months (purchase from club shop)
3. Weekly Ongoing Attendance - Billed monthly (enrol via customer portal)

$25 per class.

Enrolments for Term 2 are now open for new families to join the Under 5's programs

BabyGym is back in Term 2 with Miss Lisa and Miss Kylie on Fridays 12:15-12:45pm. Suitable for bubs not yet walking.

All the NWG U5's coaches have a background in Child development. Miss Kylie has been developing and delivering U5 classes for over 7 years. Miss Joce is a primary school teacher and Miss Lisa has a diploma in Early Childhood and has worked extensively with tiny humans for more than a decade.

U5 classes have a little bit of Magic and are themed to engage children and have their big people join them in their world of magic and imagination. Term 2 will see the kids exploring how we move with Transport as the main theme. We then swap over to explore the wonderful world of colours and shapes mid term. There will be silly songs and dances as we move like trains, trucks, buses, aeroplanes, rockets and explore the whole gym in different ways over the Term

Mini Movers is for your Walking to 3 years olds with fun warm ups, circuit activities, group activities finished off with a special book, stickers, stamps and bubbles

Pre-Independent Early Learners is for your 3-4 year old that is not quite ready to leave your side and needs support to follow a coach lead class.

Early Learners is an independent class that you can watch from the parents area. Kiddo's are typically in Kindy and ready to participate in a coach led class without parents.

Flash back to Adults Gym 2017. It's been a while but Adult's gym is back 2024 Term 2.

Enjoy the final week of school before Easter. We are sure the kids are excited.

We look forward to seeing everyone back in the gym from Monday 15th April when classes commence for Term 2.

The Under 5's classes on Sunday 25th March are going to run a little different to normal. Please check class times.

Easter Fun play and explore adventures have been planned by Miss Lisa using the whole upstairs gym.

Parents will be required to join their child in their class.

There have been some class time changes
Mini Movers Walking - 2yrs 9:00am and 9:30am classes are combining at 9am
Pre-Independent Early Learners 3-4 yrs 9:00am and 9:50am classes are combining at 9:40am
Mini Movers 1.5 - 3yrs 10:20am and 10:40am classes are combining at 10:30am
Early Learners 4-5yrs 11:15am and 12:00pm classes are combining at 11:15am

Just a Friendly reminder to all our gym families there will be no Girls Beginners, Girls Foundations or Girls Intermediate classes on Saturday as Coach Richard is away.

Term 1 is nearing at end. Our official end date fo

Term 1 is nearing at end. Our official end date for the Term is Thursday 28th March. Between Monday and Thursday 28th March evening classes are not scheduled as we have coaches away. Those families affected will be sent reminder emails.

Term 2 Tuition has been delayed as we are still finalising small timetable changes and staff allocations. We anticipate that April Tuition for Term 2 will be added to your accounts by 30th March.

Remember !!! All student enrolments are automatically rolled over from Term 1 to Term 2. If you need to change days, or are not returning please submit your drop requests and class transfers via the parent portal.

Please check you emails as Miss Bindi has been sending out updates and will be sending out further updates for Term 2 classes over the next 2 weeks.

Miss Kylie and her Elves (Jasi, Luke and Caity) have been out and about this week delivering Christmas notes and gifts to all the kids that didn't receive their gift at their last class for 2023.

Are you or do you know someone in the community that is:

Energetic, bubby, fun, enthusiastic, loves working with children?

North West Gymnastics are looking for Coaches to join our team for 2024.

We would love to hear from you. Tag a friend that you think would be an amazing coach and movement educator.

You don't need to have a background in gymnastics you just need to have a passion for working with children, understand the importance of movement and play.

Having a background in education is a bonus, a love of movement a must, seeing the world through the eyes of a child and being courageous enough to be animated and silly to engage children is what it takes.

Our coaches come from all walks of life - There are mum's and dad's, early childhood educators, high school students. Some have a background in dance and a love of sport, some did gymnastics as young child. We have had PE teachers, primary school teachers, teacher aides, "Hippy" education leaders, Kindy Teachers, personal trainers and all of them started out with very little gymnastics experience. On the job training, online learning as well as workshops are provided to support the delivery of NWG Gymnastics programs.

It's all about helping children GROW:
Greatness through Movement - Gymnastics is just the vehicle to understanding what we are capable of
Relate first react later - connection with kids and each other is key to understanding
Own it - is all about taking responsibility for what we do and doing it with our own special magic
With Joy - everything we do should be done with joy. Do what you love and love what you do. Joy is catching.

NWG are looking for coaches that are available weekday mornings (9am-12pm), afternoons (4pm onwards), and weekends to help deliver in centre Kindy Programs, Under 5's weekday morning classes, Ninja classes, Girls Gymnastics, Competitive Levels classes, and Flips n Tricks recreational classes.

Coaching commitment can be as little as 2 hours a week.

You will received an email confirming we have received your request.

You can view all student enrolments and their status by selecting a child from your student list in the "STUDENTS" section of your "ACCOUNT".

Click on their name --> Enrollments

It may take the Admin team a little while to process requests, prioritise the waitlists, consider class numbers and coach availability before class place offer emails are emailed out. Please allow 3 weeks.

Once you receive a class place offer for your child you will have 48hours to accept. Then we will send you out the information pack for 2024 including important dates, coach allocations, tuition and membership fees.
