Competition
In 2018 these girls travelled to competitions including Townsville, Hughenden, Mackay (Regional Championships) and both Qualified for State Championships in Brisbane.
2019 will see them Travel to Mareeba, Mackay (twice), Hughenden, Brisbane and Townsville to compete. Already they have smashed their Level 6 Levels testing and are on track to Amaze.

NWG Mums and Dads, our committee needs assistance on Saturday the 4th of November from 10:30 to 2:30pm to sell raffle tickets at the The Buffs Club our awesome Treasurer Veronica Marsh is away that weekend and is not available as we’ll be away at Townsville Competition. (So no Gym)

Classes
Mini Movers “Jungle Gym” Open play is a fun semi-structured open play 45 minute class for children aged approx. 12 months to 4 years who are competent walkers. Spend some quality time with your child exploring fun and challenging circuits using Beams, bars, padded boxes, trampolines and more.
Focused on Educational Activities while developing gross motor skills and coordination. Parent participation is required to assist your child with class activities.
Classes are offered on a weekly or casual basis. Come Weekly, Fortnightly or just when you can.
It is important for Families to arrive just ahead of class please and be ready to enter the floor area at these times.

Want something a little more structured?
Our Baby Gym class is open for Parents and Bubs from 4 months to 1 year. Our Mini Movers Program is perfect for confident walkers (from 1-4 years) with parent participation or for those more independent kids our Early Learners Term program is for 3-5 year olds who are ready to take classes on their own.
Classes
Early Learners is a structured gymnastics class for children aged 3 – 5 years. With separate classes for:
This class is an introductory to gymnastics levels for children who ideally have previous attendance in Mini Movers, or other Baby Gym type classes.
Early Learners focuses on developing the body as well as the mind of very energetic children. Coaches design fun circuits to challenge and develop co-ordination, balance, body awareness, strength as well as developing social skills such as listening, taking turns, being patient.
Mount Isa Teachers have praised us for the positive influences our classes are having on the Kids in School.
Early Learners is the perfect program for development of early coordination, confidence and independence and is a great introduction to competitive or recreational gymnastics.

A fun, fast paced, recreational class for children (both Boys and Girls) aged 5-12yrs with a focus on developing basic gymnastics skills on all apparatus. The perfect class to begin gymnastics for older children with limited experience. It is also a great alternative or complimentary class for our competitive programs and a great start for getting Boys into Gymnastics.
Activebods Classes run: Monday: 4:30 – 5:25pm.
The class is structured such that the children learn basic skills, falling safely, rolling and landing. The Whole gym is utilised in a circuit based class.
Focused on developing basic skills, coordination, strength and fundamental movement. All apparatus (including beams, bars, parallel bars, rings, vault, trampoline) are covered in this one class allowing kids to enjoy the benefits that the North West Gymnastics space has to offer.

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics is a creative blend of daring and control; powerful yet refined, elegant yet strong. Mastery on the four apparatus (Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor) requires skills that flip, balance, swing and soar.
Classes
Men’s Artistic Gymnastics channels masculine energy to develop power, strength and control. Mastery of the six apparatus requires the skilful combination of flips, balance, stretch, spin and landings.

Come and learn how to safely execute front somersaults and back saltos and develop precision jumping. Learn many different Tramp tricks in a safe, instructional environment with an advanced coach.
Adults Gymnastics
Keen to build your strength, improve flexibility, keep fit or practice those past skills? Perhaps you are an Ex-Gymnast keen to maintain your skills.
Come and join us for Gymnastics at your own pace in this Open Gym session.
This session runs in parallel with our Aerials and Tumbling class. Participants can utilize the gym and equipment at their own pace.
Please note this is not a coach led class however coaches are available to assist with equipment. Experienced and approved participants only.
Our venue is packed with equipment including trampolines, aerial silks, air tumble track, air floors, sprung floors, bars, beams, vault and the like so we are sure to be able to please.

For our competitive athletes Goal Setting is critical given the difficulty and the time required to develop and progress in the sport.
