Gym Closed 23rd August Reopening 29th August

😢 No Gym for a week 🤸🏼‍♀️

NWG will be closed from Thursday 23rd August and reopen Wednesday 29th August. We are off to the Junior Regional Championships.

If you see Ebony, Abi, Madi or Jas wish them luck as they head off to compete at the junior regional championships this weekend.

2018 Term 3 Class Enrolment

North West Gymnastics Term 3 2018 Class Enrolment is now open!!

Keen to try gymnastics? We have a heap of recreational and competitive classes on offer for all ages.

New and Existing members can now enrol online via our Class Enrolment page.

Term 3 2018 kicks off on Monday the 16th July and runs to Wednesday the 19th September.

We are expecting to have spaces opening up in our Early Learners Program on a Thursday and in our Women’s Acro and Tumbling on a Saturday for Term 3.

Design Our Comp Polo Shirt Competition

North West Gymnastics wants your help to design our new club polo!!

We feel it’s about time for a change to our competition polo shirt for our competitive kids and we are looking to you to help us design our new competition polo.

You will still be able to use our existing shirts for competitions however over time we’ll look to phase them out.

To enter the competition simply submit your design using the attached template by the 1st of August 2018 to info@northwestgymnastics.com.au.

Please provide as much detail as you can with your drawing regarding colours and patterns.

We will then post the submissions for voting by you to help us decide on our club style.

The winner not only gets the blast from designing our new club shirt but will also receive a free Polo and other goodies.

Please note: We are not intending to change the club competition leotards or men’s clothing and hence the colours that you see on our club leo’s would likely be a good guide for the designs.

July 2018 Working Bee

NWG Working Bee Thursday 12th July to Sunday 15th July 2018.

Can you spare some time to assist us take the next step forwards with Gym Improvements? We would really appreciate any assistance.

Tasks include:

Improvements to the MAG (Men’s) Area.
- Relocation of the rings, P-Bars, Double Mini Tramp, Pommel, Buck and Mushroom.
- Installation of new floor matting in the MAG area.
- Installation of wall bars in the MAG area.
Carpeting the Tramp Trick Wall.
Installation of Space Savers on the Women’s High Bar
Relocation of a TV for Parents Viewing
Installation of new ropes
Check and Replace the fasteners on the Men’s High Bars
Complete the downstairs floor area cover matting.
Downstairs Fencing
Anyone who feels like a spot of painting is more than welcome to have a splash 🙂

All help welcome!

We will potentially also receive a new set of springs for the main sprung floor area. If these arrive in time (WOW) then the plan will be to see if we can get these installed. This is a huge and exciting job so please stay posted on delivery.

North West Gymnastics is open over the mid year July break with the following classes running:

WAG Levels 4-6: 5:45-8:00pm – $20

Saturday 7th July

Early Movers: 8:30-9:00am – No bookings required – $8.50
Jungle Gym: 9:00-10:00am – No bookings required – $7
Women’s Acro and Tumbling: 11:00-1:00pm – $20

Monday 9th July 2018

WAG Level 2-3: 9:30-11:30am
Activebods / Gym Fun: 4:00-5:00pm – Bookings Essential – $15
WAG Levels 4-6: 5:45-8:00pm – $20

Tuesday 10th July 2018

Early Movers: 8:45-9:15am – No bookings required – $8.50
Jungle Gym: 9:15-10:15am – No bookings required – $7
Activebods / Gym Fun: 10:30-11:30am – Bookings Essential – $15
Adults Gym: 6:30-7:30pm

Wednesday 11th July

WAG Level 2-3: 9:30-11:30am

NWG Closed for a working bee. We’d love if you could provide any assistance in the reconfiguration of our MAG area and other general works. All welcome.

Term 3 Commences on Monday the 16th July and runs through to the 19th September.

NWG Closed Friday and Saturday 22-23rd June 2018

Hi all just a reminder NWG will be closed on Friday and Saturday the 22-23rd June as we are off to the Hughenden Gymnastics Competition with a bunch of awesome kids!!

Good luck to all our competitors!! Classes running as per normal Monday 25th June Onwards.

Preliminary Term 3 2018 Class Timetable

North West Gymnastics Preliminary Class Timetable for Term 3 2018 can be found below.

Pending class enrolments there may be some changes however these should be reasonably minor.

Class Enrolment is also now open online or please message us or see Kylie at the Gym if any questions.

Highlights

Acro and Intermediate Gym Skills continues on a Friday Afternoon,
Activebods Saturday class continues with a Gym Skills program.
Our Under 5’s Programs including Early Movers, Jungle Gym and Early Learners are back. We have however removed the option for a Monday Early Learners Class.
We’ve had to remove our Friday foundations class to make space for an adequate number of Levels Classes. We are however more than happy to discuss how we best accommodate those recreational gymnasts who were taking part in this class one on one as we are certain they can be accomodated.
Our Women’s Acro and Tumbling class is moving to Saturday afternoon and is extended to 2 hours as we work towards our Goal of forming a competitive Acro team here in Mount Isa.
Adults Gymnastics on Tuesday’s to run from 6:45pm-8:00pm
Our Teen Boys Tumbling and Tramp class continues on a Monday Night.

NWG Closed 22-23rd June 2018 – Hughenden Competition

Just a quick note that NWG will be closed from the 22th to the 23th June (Friday-Saturday) as we are travelling to Hughenden for the Hughenden Gymnastics Competition.

NWG Mount Isa Inc. is hosting its 2018 Annual General Meeting at the Mount Isa Family Fun Park on Sunday the 3rd June 2018 at 12:00pm.

All Members Welcome.

Buffs Club Ticket Selling – Help Please

NWG Mums and Dads, our committee needs assistance on Saturday the 4th of November from 10:30 to 2:30pm to sell raffle tickets at the The Buffs Club our awesome Treasurer Veronica Marsh is away that weekend and is not available as we’ll be away at Townsville Competition. (So no Gym)

Hands up if you can help please?

Teen Boys Tumbling and Tramp

A recreational tramp and tumbling class for teens aged 13-16yrs wanting to improve strength, flexibility and salto skills.

Come and learn how to safely execute front somersaults and back saltos and develop precision jumping. Learn many different Tramp tricks in a safe, instructional environment with an advanced coach.
