⭐️⭐️ We are excited to be developing the bottom shed into a New Gymnastics Space.
⭐️⭐️ We are off to Townsville for competition and our Gymnastics Queensland Regional Forum (where we set the dates for competitions and training for 2020) from Friday the 8th to Tuesday the 12th of November. Acro
Acro Flight for Dancers is a class designed to progress Acrobatic Flight Skills, Hand Support Skills with the inclusion of Aerial silks.
For advanced dancers wishing to perfect or progress specific goals.
Skills include Flicks (or back handsprings), Walkovers (variety), Aerials and Cartwheels (variety), Leaps and Leap development.
Classes running on a Casual attendance basis Tuesday Nights 7:15-8:30pm

Did you know that we are trained and accredited in Acro Gymnastics, Acro Dance, Tumbling and Trampoline in addition to our Advanced+ Women’s and Men’s Gymnastics Accreditations?
We love our sport and the teaching of safe technique in a fun and safe environment. We have endless options, equipment and resources to ensure that skills are taught progressively in a safe way with a focus on technique and the appropriate physical preparation.

About Us
New members are welcome to join at anytime.
If you know what class you want to enrol in but the class is full you can still indicate your desire to join that class by completing a waitlist enrolment. There are no charges applicable for this. When you waitlist for a full class this helps the Club determine demand for class types and allows planning for additional classes. It also means that we can contact you directly when a place becomes available throughout our terms.
On any enrolment you can add additional comments e.g. waitlist for a class type but indicate any other days that would also suit even if they aren’t currently scheduled in our timetable.
All class enrolments are of an ongoing basis until you elect to change classes or drop with 2 weeks notice through our Parent Portal.

Trial classes can be arranged at the normal one off class cost where there is space in a class. Please contact us via email for details once your account and student are set up in the Portal. Make sure you tell us the students name, class type and date and we’ll do our best to accommodate these requests.
2025 Term 4 classes commence from Tuesday 7th October and run through to Sunday 30th November.
Enrolments for 2025 Term 4 New Students will be open for registration from 22nd September via our parent portal.
Please check your Parent Portal to confirm your class times and dates. Our Parent Portal is a one stop shop for you to manage your students, enrolments, holiday classes, billing, invoices, absences, makeup classes, merchandise, apparel and more! Class pricing on our Portal reflects the monthly class tuition fees. Annual membership is applicable for each participant. You can find our Timetable and Calendar here. Did you know that North West Gymnastics offers a heap of fun and recreational gymnastics classes?
Our recreational classes are designed for those who are only looking for 1 class a week or possibly even casual attendance options. A great way to develop skills and keep fit in a fun and safe environment.

Ninja Foundations: For kids from 4-8 years (2 separate class options) with Energy to Burn. Incorporates Trampoline, Ninja, Air Floor, Bars, Ring, and much much more!!
Acro Foundations and Gym Skills: Ideal for gymnasts or dance students to improve their floor manoeuvres and dance specific tumbling skills. Complimentary for levels gymnastics. Incorporates other Gymnastics Apparatus including Beam and Bars.
Intermediate Acro, Tumbling and Aerials: Ideal for gymnasts or dance students to improve their floor manoeuvres and dance specific tumbling skills. Complimentary for levels gymnastics.
Acro and Intermediate Gym Skills
We have a limited number of places in our Acro Foundations class on a Friday from 4:00-5:15pm.
Our Acro Foundations and Gym Skills class introduces acrobatic foundations, beginner tumbling and intermediate gym skills utilising all gym equipment to develop strength requirements (and for a bit of fun- beam, bars, floor and tramp, rings, parallel bars).
It targets the teaching of correct technique for acrobatic skills including Aerials, Walkovers, Cartwheels, Handsprings as well as partner and group balances and performance.
Our Coaches are accredited in both Acro Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts programs as a compliment to our Advanced Women’s, Men’s and Tumbling Gymnastics accreditations.

The intended Age Range is 11 years + however may vary depending on any prior experience.
Most Popular Programs
With the success of our Strength and Flexibility Classes we are excited to offer an additional class option on a Tuesday afternoon from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
This class can be taken on a term or casual basis.
Focussed on building the strength and flexibility required for the execution of core gymnastics and dance skills. Targeted work in posture, joint stability, core, upper and lower body strength.

To see one of our Gymnasts step onto a competition floor for the first time and give it their all takes your breath away! Miss Olivia you were spectacular. Holding it together for what was a very very long competition and scoring an outstanding 8.95 on Floor and an impressive 33.5 overall score!

NINJA Fun a new and exciting fusion gymnastics and Free G; focused on speed, agility, precision, strength and most off all challenging fun. Suitable for boys and girls 5 years and older. Those who have participated in our Boys Foundations class will love it.
Bring a friend or a sibling to the same class and receive your holiday program discount. (*conditions apply)
A $7 booking fee is required to nominate. This will be deducted from your class fees at the gym should you attend.

Deliberate Practice
Lately we’ve been talking with the kids on Deliberate Practice. Focussing on specific parts of skills and making sure that every attempt of a skill has a deliberate focus.
We found this and thought we’d share.
Deliberate practice refers to a special type of practice that is purposeful and systematic. While regular practice might include mindless repetitions, deliberate practice requires focused attention and is conducted with the specific goal of improving performance.
The greatest challenge of deliberate practice is to remain focused. In the beginning, showing up and putting in your reps is the most important thing. But after a while we begin to carelessly overlook small errors and miss daily opportunities for improvement.
This is because the natural tendency of the human brain is to transform repeated behaviors into automatic habits. For example, when you first learned to tie your shoes you had to think carefully about each step of the process. Today, after many repetitions, your brain can perform this sequence automatically. The more we repeat a task the more mindless it becomes.
Mindless activity is the enemy of deliberate practice. The danger of practicing the same thing again and again is that progress becomes assumed. Too often, we assume we are getting better simply because we are gaining experience. In reality, we are merely reinforcing our current habits—not improving them.

✨We have a limited number of Early Learners class places available for Term 2 ✨
Early Learners is a structured introductory gymnastics class for children aged 3 – 5 years.
Mount Isa Teachers have praised us for the positive influences our classes are having on the Kids in School.
Early Learners is the perfect program for development of early coordination, confidence and independence and is a great introduction to competitive or recreational gymnastics.
Very limited places available in the following classes;
Tuesday: 10:45am to 11:30am
Thursday: 10:45am to 11:30am
Thursday: 3:30pm to 4:15pm
Saturday: 8:30am to 9:15am
Saturday: 9:30am to 10:15am
